II:        PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a highly driven individual who aspires to excellence and aims to maximise all personal, relational, and professional opportunities. Since July 2016, I have established myself as a quality Consultant Upper GI and General Surgeon and valued colleague. My practice covers all aspects of emergency and elective general and specialist Upper Gastro-Intestinal surgery. I am proficient in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy (EUS/ ERCP).

I have developed a keen interest in research and clinical leadership; obtained an MD for my research endeavours and disseminated my work through many peer reviewed publications and presentations. I have pursued these interests further in formal roles e.g. Royal College Surgical Tutor and Cross-site lead for Upper GI Surgery at Frimley Health.

V:      CLINICAL EXPERIENCE 

I have trained in the traditional UK system and acquired sound technical ability; and enjoy the challenge of diagnosis and management of surgical disease. My clinical practice is evidence based, reflective and fully compliant with the GMC’s ‘good medical practice’.

I perform a range of elective and emergency operations independently as expected from an established Consultant Surgeon. This includes all general surgical emergencies and laparotomy for bowel resection, anastomosis, and stoma formation. I am a dedicated Upper GI Surgeon and have achieved competence in several specialist procedures (Laparoscopic & Robotic biliary and hiatal surgery). I have experience in bariatric surgery, oesophago-gastric, liver and pancreatic resections. I am JAG accredited for diagnostic endoscopy and run an independent EUS and ERCP practice.
